The Death of Camelot

I often wonder.......is CNN really a good thing?

The Death of Camelot

Once dreamed a dream

Where sleep was not,

Where children played,

And wisdom sought,

And life was just,

And evil fought,

I came to know

As Camelot.

I placed said wisdom

In my heart,

I vowed to win

The fight I fought,

And righting each wrong

That was wrought,

In my world known

As Camelot.

I loved this man,

So strong and brave,

He freed the free,

And freed the slave,

Til murder laid him

In his grave,

In my world known

As Camelot.

So now I stand

Upon this hill,

I look into

A valley filled

With nothing more than

Seething rot,

My home,

I once called

Camelot.

I love the legend of King Arthur..
Camelot is one of my favorite musicals..
and yet this bespeaks not only of a grander
time or mythical place in history..
It brings back a black day in November 1963

nice flow and story told.
