The world spins constantly,
giving new breath
to lives that have already
walked the earth before.

We enter, screaming
and began our journey
at a snailís pace.
All things are new.

We grow older
We grow up.
We dream dreams,
long and loud.
Like music,
they surround us
engulfing us in their energy.

Some live for the moment.
Some live for tomorrow.
Some live for others.
Some live for themselves.

Others just wander around
this big, round ball
meandering in self pity,
unfulfilled and joyless.

While pondering the meaning
this time around,
we wonder what we can do,
in order to fulfill our purpose;
whatever it may be.

We learn lessons,
sometimes the hard way,
by trial and error
and by trying again.
And sometimes the easier way,
by watching other people fail.

We inhale.
We exhale.
We breathe deeply into the night
And wake in the morning
with the beautiful, golden sun.

Day after day after day,
we strive for excellence,
for meaning,
for wisdom,
and for truth.
We take our turn,
we listen,
we learn,
and then one day we exit the earth,
and start the whole process over
in a different pair of shoes.
