A Dream Not Realized

Dream that may become a nightmare.

Forty years ago millions of brave Americans marched.

They marched for freedom.

They marched for justice.

They marched for the truth.

They marched to change this country from the evils of hatred.

They marched to make this country a better place.

A great man spoke of a dream he had.

We celebrate the history of the march.

We relive the words of his dream.

Forty years have come and gone.

Many things have happened in all those years.

There has been progress.

There has been death and destruction.

The Dream is still a long way from reality.

There is still evil within.

A disgusting group that blurs any progress.

The Dream still lives.

The Dream has yet to be realized.

Forty years ago a great man told us of a Dream he had.

Still after years that Dream has not become a reality.

I lived during those times! And his dream has been realized in so many ways. We still have a long way to go. His dream will only be materialized when those of us of the older generation have died off who never really believed that we were all equal under God or whatever power made our universe.

This is so wonderfully written and it was a very pleasurable read. Thanks for sharing this with me on the Den.

while ever there are forces that would destroy anothers dream by assination of the dreamer, the dream becomes banished until another dreamer comes along.....
You don't have to be American to appriciate the Man....Thank you

In aspects, we've come a long way -- in others appearances still shroud reality.
I believe one way to lend momentum to the
fullness of manifesting the dream is to
claim appearances for what they are, and praise the steadfast improvements with exhileration. What we focus on with emotion expands. Good Write. Vicky
