These two hands reached out for you,
The first moment of your life,
These two hands wiped baby tears away.
These two hands picked up your toys,
When you were fast asleep,
These two hands prayed every single day.

These two hands prepared your meals,
And hugged you every night.
These two hands gave spankings in your youth,
These two hands applauded,
Your acheivments as you grew,
These two hands hid money for your tooth.

These two hands shook sense in you,
When teenage years were hard,
These two hands played dual parent parts.
These two hands waved bye to you,
When you moved far away,
These two hands wrote letters from the heart.

These two hands touch memories now,
So sweet the memories grow,
These two hands can reach across the land,
These two hands will always hold,
The love I have for you,
The love that I embrace...
With these two hands.
