PRESENCE

Presence! I feel it! I sense it! It's real!
Presence is a present, a gift of immeasurable value, the birth of being, the advent and manifestation of consciousness that is surrendered to unconsciousness in the momentary now.
Presence is the apex of experience and the actualization and permeation of the moment.
In presence, that can take place only in the here and now, there is a countenance that radiates pronoucely, like the sun on a bright sunshiny day, accompanied with an aura - a distinctive atmosphere - that prevades the spirit and the milieu. Presence is not just the Source, the "stuff" that we sometimes call essence and potentiality. In presence there is a definitiveness that is characterized by beingness rather than becomingness. Presence is "on-lineness" but not just what is on the lines. It is also what is between and betwix the lines and in the gaps.
When presence is redemptive, and this is its nature, both the human and the divine are in balance and balance and the Cosmos are in alignment.
Real presence is real love in the here that is never more here. Yet, it is transcendent, beyond cause and effect as well as heredity and the environment. This is a mystery of presence that may be expressed by the person who is being sponstaneous and peculiarly and uniquely himself. Although presence can only be glimpsed, not grasped by humans, glimpsing it is sufficient to make one's life awesome. Whenever a person is awed by presence nothing else matters enough to deprive him of the delightfulness of life or his joy. Indeed, at such time, he is able to count it all joy.
