She flies through life like a gypsy moth

So, she is back again
after all these many years...
back with the man who loves her.

There has been so much pain
and, yes, so very many tears...
in those in-between times.

He let her go all those years ago
because he understood her...
and knew that freedom called her.

He knew her love for him was not
enough to keep her from the allure
of the open road and open skies.

He often woke up in the middle of the
night, wondering where she might be
and if she was alright.

He also wondered if she would
be back and if she would see
that his love wasn't the kind to tie her.

Yes, there was alot of pain
and yes, there was alot of tears...
in those in-between times.

But, she is back again
after all these many years...
back with the man who loves her.

This is lovely. It reminds me of that little piece by Blake...
He who binds himself to a joy
does the winged life destroy
but he who kisses the joy as it flies
lives in Eternity's sunrise.
Good job here!
