spring poem

It wasn't her only friend who left her
but he was special in that certain way
some magical beings can be
I didn't truly know either of them
just the words of friendship
she left behind whenever I was blue
There was a sadness about her
the type that clings like a fine mist
and I knew somehow that she'd been hurt
and that she knew the same of me
I was leaving on a sojourn soon
the rare kind
when the dream gets to be held
and life after is never quite the same
So you are left wondering
the color of her eyes
what things make her laugh
what things made her cry
knowing you will never know

The ones sent from 'nowhere' popping in at just the right moments. Some for a season, but always for a reason. I love this reminds me so much of the ones that pop into my life. Thank you. such a beautiful way you've written this.
