There is one who lingers
Out beyond the doorway,
Past the place the sun favors,
Over there, under that gloved branch.
And when he sits
He closes his eyes,
In his head the long winding path
To the past
Carries him back.
Words wander around
Teasing, flitting like butterflies,
Engaging his wondrous muse.
He chuckles at his brother's tricks,
His sister's blushes,
The smells of the other children
Washing up for tea.
It fills him, breathes into him.
He sees his mam smile.
When solitude and nature's peace
Calm his demons, quiet his longings
He lingers just a little more,
Until the shaking goes.
Mark is an Irishman, a poet, a friend.
Be well.... katy.

|Exceptional. Be well. Yes. I sure like what you have to say and how you go about saying it, Katy, most of the time, none of us are perfect. Well, most of us, there are some to believe they are.|
