Painting of Love

A soul like a canvas
The earth stood still
exclaiming exuberance
A painter brushes
The cosmos shook
A mighty roar burst forth
of form and color
Light appeared
filling the void

This ancient soul
proclaiming profundity
The power of passion
shining in brilliance
Nothing could be seen
The sun was born
stroked on a canvas
The stars were many suns
sketching life’s journey

This magnificent birth
was brushed longingly
stroked by many
touched by one
The spheres rotated
The axis turned
This canvas nearly torn
form in motion
Color changed with light

This desire, This passion
exclaiming lovers’ climax
proclaiming sensuous power
This painting of love

CJ ... this is why many love art and the participation in it. It is are giving 'birth' that keeps us writing and painting and singing and dancing. We love the fulfillment of what we do and you did this poem and idea so well. Bill Murray
