I question my sanity
The doubts rage in my mind
But I chose to ignore them
Though I think I do so at my own peril
The emotional departure is clearly delineated
But I donít want to see it
For if I do, the truth will no longer be hidden
And within the honesty is only pain
So I continue to lie to myself
The deceit offers me comfort
A deluge of conflicting messages
Infiltrate the confused corners of my mind
They puncture the fantasy
But only for a few moments
The incisions are coated with half-truths
Layers of fraudulent tissue cover the holes
Altering the authenticity of the mental broadcasts
Distorting the purity of the visual images
The fantasy then becomes the reality
Until the truth is no longer latent
And another deposit of lies
Settles over that of the old

Great metaphor in this. After enough time, the lies become rock-hard.
