When I woke this morning, it was a perfecr day,
as outside the window happy squirrels did play.
They were playing tag on the other side of the glass,
Having lots of fun in the trees and grass.

The birds were singing a song for their game,
The skies were all clear with no hint of rain.
The cool wind was sighing through the trees,
cooling each small creature with its breeze.

The Cat was sunning itself on the window sill,
purring in contentment, perfectly still.
The warm sun was out on this perfect day,
as if smiling at all the creatures today.

It was the perfect day to go for a walk,
or to go to the zoo or the park.
A beautiful day with so much to do,
But ,here am I , in bed with the flu.
