Blue

Blue
Shimmering in a light
from far away.
A love which transcends
oceans and continents.
No memories to look back on,
only the future to think of
as I am lost in those jewels.

Blue...
I see myself,
my own soul
in your eyes.
I know the promise
of what you can be,
and the answer
of the prayer that you are.

Blue...
So soft and innocent,
curious and needing.
Though I have yet to hold;
I know you completely already.
I can sense the music
which flows in your veins,
and know that it
is influenced by my own.

Blue...
The bright glow
staring at me
from this uncaring screen.
From a million miles away
you make me smile,
and I cannot wait
to teach you the joy of youth.

Ah, the many shades of blue, John... past, present and future. You have a sense of time and space in your writing. I enjoy it.

Peace. Joyce

Beautiful young man, John, I bet he will be the next Clapton, or BB King, learning from his dad how to crank up that music...Peace, Ed & Rufuz

That was a beautiful piece. Childhood it doesn't ever come again, well not until old age at least. I wish BLUE a wonderful life of joy.
