a work in progress prompted by a new found love. i'll update as i chase the setting sun and think of my love.

--all criticisms are welcome--

i read your words and i gasp
i read your verses and i dream

your thoughts are beautiful
your emotions sincere
they target him not me

your world is full with others
your heart captured by another

we met in hell
you made it my heaven
you became my world

days turned to nights turned to weeks turned to months
it all passed in the blink of an eye

i had to walk away...twice
each time learning more, wanting more, hurting more
each time, i loved more, left more -- of my heart for your tending

your love is worth it, your passion demands it
the situation commands it... that i leave

he returned and i was happy
he returned and i was sad
he returned and i turned...green with envy

his return meant everything to you, your happiness, your love
his return meant our end

he walked in
i walked away
i wanted to the love you proclaimed

i agreed to go along for the ride and will not regret,
will never forget, will never relent

i read your words and heard your voice
i yearned
i read your words and saw your face, felt your heart
i cried
