For Mike, my darling one.

Sleep well, my darling one

Sleep deep until the morning sun.

Let the beauty of the moon

and the harmony of the stars croon

you to sweet dreams of castles far away

of boats that drift in the moonlit bay

of adventures that are sweeping and bold

and of my love that is yours to have and hold

Sleep well, my darling one

Sleep deep and forget about the sun.

Let the beauty of the moon

and the harmony of the stars croon

My love is there for you to harbor in

Letting go of everyday worries is no sin

Let my heart fill your dreams with care

and let go of all those worries you wear

Sleep well, my darling one

for I love you more than anyone

Let the beauty of the moon

and the harmony of the stars croon

you to sweet dreams of yesterday

and of places that you want to see some day

Egypt with its pyramids that fill you with wonder and awe

and Stonehenge that makes you wish you could paint or draw

England with its long history of Kingly realms that reigned there

and Scotland where the bagpipes of the past still ring in the air

Sleep well, my darling one

for love between us has really just begun.

Let the beauty of the moon

and the harmony of the stars croon

Dream deep of a sunlit bay

where ships creak and sway

with their sails billowing in the salty air

seeking the far horizon without a care

Dream of starry nights filled with love

hear the sounds of night and the birds above

Let the swaying palms of an island retreat

sweep you away and off your tired feet

This is not good Silver: I feel jelous... that I am not the one bathed in the love of the poet. I want to be the one lifted on those thoughts, or setting sail on those dreams. Yes I feel jelous: this is not good Silver!

I remember when my boys were little how they enjoyed my bed-time stories...the following day they would always comment on their dreams which were full of adventure..I loved those days when my darling ones were small..my three girls had different stories told them..princesses,knights and the world of the faries..:)..The Lord of the Rings was well known by my children..
