You don't know
The pain you've caused
When you fall asleep
In my arms.
~
Nor when I look
Into your eyes
The flames, that once burn
Are no longer mine.
~
You excused yourself
On a passionate night
Delayed your return
As I dozed
I drift with pain.
~
I wake in the morning
To find the magic
Is no longer there
Nor the love, We once dared.
~
Why does my heart aches
The pain of love
I feel, you're no longer
The one thought, was send from above.
~
Your kisses, no longer sweet
Your lips still soft
Your kisses, without feelings
I taste from you
No love, left for me.
~
Affection smothers me
From close friends
A barrier encasing my sanity
For the truth
I find well at hand
As our love has come
To it's final end.

"For the truth
I find well at hand"

The whole becomes painfully pivoted upon the essence of this passage, William. The pain of loss and the rememberence of once-love echo resoundingly... The reader aches for the author.
