A Little Bit of Time

I can see you're crying
The tears are crashing upon the floor
I can tell your world's over
And you don't want to live anymore.

You were led astray
By someone who said he loved you
His lies and sweet talk
Made you do something you didn't want to.

Now you're pregnant
And the walls are closing in so tightly
You're feeling suffocated
And you feel so though you'll never be happy.

You don't know what to do
Because your mother has turned away
She doesn't want to listen
To all that you feel you have to say.

You're all alone now
Because the father turned his back,
Said he didn't want you
And you just don't know how to react.

Well, the world isn't over
It's just a new chapter is beginning
You've got to keep your head up
If you want to stand a chance of winning.

You've got a baby on the way
You've got to remain strong for it
You've got to stand up proud
And fight every verbal and emotional hit.

I know you believe you can't
Because you are out there on your own
But trust me you don't need them
You can makeit even though you're alone.

You are a mother now
Even if you can't believe that it's true
In a few months time
You've have someone dependant on you.

You've got to get a job
So you can provide for your baby
You've got to work hard
Even at times it drives you crazy.

The world may seem harsh
But you can prove them all wrong if you try
You can bring up your child alone
There's no real reason to sit and cry.

Many mothers are alone
And they've brought up children fine
You can do the same as them
Just give all of it a little bit of time.
