The Angel & The Glass

One lawyer on the 25th floor lately spends time lagging as he wanders endlessly.
What to say next or whom I say it to.
Days filled with haunting memories
of days gone past ripping at his inner core.
Stumbling upon a pencil mark
after a jug of potent drinks are drunk.
Glass broken all over the floor as the
skin is ripped leaving bloody footprints.
He crashed into a bed of lice infested sheets
feeling no one really cares but the lice that
feast off the cells of his dirty body.
He sleeps in his own puke until a rat
crawls across his chest at noon.
Dehydrated he opens his eyes.
There sat an angel & a glass of water.
