The soul soars on, the body finds final rest.

With this body in this prison,
escaping has good reason.
Freeing the soul to wander,
strengthening the heart in candour.

A flock of birds take flight,
there you'll find my soul in might.
As my body sats souless
I enjoy my soaring boldness.
When the sun rises on the horizon,
my body rest frozen.
At the set of the sun,
I'm finished with my fun.

My fine feathered friends soar on,
as my soul drops upon,
Back in its body shell,
plotting its new adventure trail.

Feeling sorry for this frame of solidity,
my soul continues its continuity.
One fine day my soul will never return,
to its earthly urn.
It will soar on in freedoms path,
hoping my body can handle the aftermath.

Lord have mercy on the body left behind,
I pray that mercy it will find.
A place of final rest in peace,
as this soul enjoys its final release.

Soar on my friend,
sorry this is our departing end.
It was fun while it last,
but all good things come to past.

Powerful write, my friend..
Oh how beautiful it would
be to leave our broken bodies
and soar with the eagles if
only for a little while.
Your poem took me away to a
few moments of peace. This
goes in my library to read
again and again!

Yf,
~~Linda~~

You shock and awe me with your words tonight! It isn't like you NEVER DO, YOU ALWAYS DO.. but this is so different for you--dark and yet there is a certain peace in it. Absolutely stunning! Excellent work!

Thank You,
