What a shame
you donít really represent truth
and family.
You never could just stick with your lies.

Always had to come clean about something.

What a shame I never understood,
sooner.
I would have called you on it
years ago.
And I wouldnít have let you off the hook
So damn easily.

What an utter embarrassment.

What a shock that you couldnít ever
discern right from wrong.
and that I was to ignorant
to discern wisdom
from superficial intelligence.

You were my hero.

So what a shame
that you no longer
inhabit that majestic pedestal
on which you stood for years.

And what a blistering shame
the way you fell
flat on your face
right in front of me;
and waited for me to laugh.

Oops.

I'd say you're venting those issues at least. Sometmes poetry is good for that.
