depression affects all aspects of one's life

where is the beauty
i am supposed to see
i can't find it anywhere
when all i see is ugly

where is the peace
i am supposed to find
i can't find it anywhere
i can't see it in mankind

where is the joy
i am supposed to know
i can't find it anywhere
i wonder, where did it go

where is the color
in my corner of the world
i can't find it anywhere
except shades of blue unfurled

where are the miracles
i am supposed to have
i can't find them anywhere
can i buy them as a salve

where are the answers
to my heartfelt, angry prayers
i can't find them anywhere
i wonder if God hears...or cares

And yet, even when fighting this terrible darkness, you have within you a fountain of light to share with all those that you so lovingly, so sweetly support and encourage. Bless you, my sweet friend. My prayers and thoughts, and hope that the darkness will be dispersed soon, are with you. **tears**

a friend of mine said one day,
"my, god, my god
why have you forsaken me?"

a very valid question for one dealing with depression ...

i wont tell you it is all going
to be fine. i don't know that,
but what i will tell you
is this:
i've been there
and i've come back

love and prayers from the GWN

As someone who has suffered from depression for a long time, I know how this feels. The good days are indeed good, but the bad ones are hell on wheels!
Hang in there.
Great, expressive write, Karla.

This is the depths of depression Kartla. An awful place to be because all we do is feel negative about everything and hopeless. Best to do everything one can to stay out of it, no matter how hard it is.I knoe I've been there...
