Non Fiction. I'm long over this, but I never forget. Everyone be happy.

I got off work early

put my sunglasses on

while driving toward the house

was anxious to see my little girls

Open the door to an empty house
found out,

my brother's wife was baby sitting my daughters

I asked my sister-n-law if she knew where my wife was

she didn't know

Something told me to check out the Blue Room Tavern

I interred

you didn't see me,

but there you were in a dark corner

kissing my brother passionately

My brother was no longer my brother

I divorced you.

Oh Ron,
How I feel for this. It's chilling how many can relate to
it. I couldn't help but bet this has an unwitting chapter two--can't imagine your compounded turmoil over what to do about your poor
sister-in-law. Double duped, both of you.
Much Love Vicky

... i like the poem, obviously an after the fact account of what must have been devastating. i think it would be interesting to break the stanza into two parts where you change from referring to her as 'my wife' and then directly as 'you'; also, the use of the word interred is a bit of a puzzle: i would have thought you would have used 'entered', but as 'interred' means that you have buried a dead body, perhaps that was your original intent. hummm, what is the term for a double burial? :)

Sad tale, and moreso because it's true ! inexcusable betrayal. Sometimes people can make one ashamed to be a member of the human race......but, always remember, there are the good ones too -- and I hope and pray one comes your way. Well written, well said.
