Past the Point of Wanting by Jeff Mason Monday, October 20, 2003 Share Print Save Become a Fan I wrote this back in 1982, after a break-up. It probably has more to it, but I don't have the original right now, and my brain is in "weekend recovey mode."
I'm past the point of wanting, And all I can do is "need." You've played your game of taunting; You let my heart lay and bleed. All along I've been waiting, Standing alone in the cold... Forever anticipating, Someone like you I could hold. Jeff, our needs and wants sure flow through poetry. Most of us tend to lay everything out on the line when it comes to our writing. Even in 1982 you were good at the art. Lisa
