when I was little
my mom would say
what's wrong with you?
those things aren't real
as I'd tell her my stories
of garden fairies
and paint her pictures
of the purple sun
what's wrong with you?
everyone knows the sun is yellow
just look in the sky
it sits right there
why must you always have
your head in the clouds?
because I knew
up there no one was yelling
no one was there to criticize
no one was there but me and the sky
and the fairies, of course *smile*

| The little ones are real. Can you imagine how interesting this world would be if we would allow ourselves to see through the eyes of a child? Great write. |
