“PASSION”
Boats are my passion,
Rene’ not withstanding,
They drive my dreams,
Up & down the east coast,
Is where I travel the most.
When I find myself stressful,
I daydream of 30 to 40 footers,
Forget those sails, only want power,
Motors to run, repair & scour,
Changing plugs, filtering fuel,
Proud of daily upkeep, as if in school.
Make that paint shine, even with the daily grind,
Passerbies note how fine she looks,
Even during the worst of weather,
In point of fact, I cannot afford any at this time,
But looking forward to the day I can,
Is not a waste of my dreams, but a stress-reducer of the maritime…
