Near You

Being near you
is like
bathing in sunlight
after a long winter snow storm.
like the sweet smell
of jasmine
after a spring shower
like a baby’s smile
at the sound
of his mother’s voice
like the clear notes
of an angel’s song
because being near you
is my
completion.

You manage to successfully use similes "like..." where most poets singularly fail.

Very thoughtful poem.
