crystal shards of oxygen
stoke lungs of dark fire
consuming blackness
beneath star-swept expanses
as i run between slumbering cars
ducking beneath the florescent exposure
of open windows
and naked street lights

the shadows protect me
from the ken of those
who love not the night
who slumber content in peaceful
ignorance
unconsciously aware
that the night belongs
to her children

she protects us lovingly
cloaking us in her darkness
as we span the nightscape

eyes used to daylight
cannot see us
though we hide in plain sight
eyes used to deception
and the hidden heart of truth
shy away from the reality
of our existence
the raw openess of night's
reflection of inner light

gossip that she is
the wind tells me secrets
born of lust and desire
as she caresses my naked body
and guides me to
the temple of your perversion

bare feet are soundless in wet grass
emerald and soft in the pale moonlight
and dark trees bend their branches
around me
carrying me aloft in silent solidarity

darkness covers my path
and the shadows conspire
to protect me
from those whose lives are less private
than they might think

i am karma manifest
i am the all seeing-eye
i am the witness to sins unsung
i am he who sees the unseen
i am the conscience unheeded
the truth untold
the lie bared for the world to see
the tears of remorse denied

i am the night
i am the revelation of all you fear
the promise of comfort
the realization of exposure
the release you desire
though you know it not

close your eyes fearfully
and i am there
licking your g-spot
whispering prayers of lustful need
in ears hungry for passion's fulfillment
feel me stroking you beneath your sheets
as you lay all alone in the dark
hear me singing the song of oneness
while you shy away from the world
aloof in fortresses of false comfort

see my eyes reflecting your terror
as you realize that i am
your most secret desire
manifest before unbelieving eyes

my arms held wide
the night sky bears me aloft
on wings of misty flame

visions of secret lovers
rest in the comfort of my endless passion
and i hold you tightly in my strong black arms
as we rise
into the forever night
all cares lost to the realm of dreams undreamed
lives unlived
lost never to be found

come with me
into the deepest eve
the darkest shadows beckon to us
from the other side of death's night

trust what you cannot see
and i will be there
waiting for you
in the shadow of your hidden desire
