The most soul searing loss is that of losing your child.

Letting Go

When we lose a child to deaths icy grip

We start to die inside...

Remembering the soft silken head

cradled in our loving arms

The sweet baby scent lingers on..

Soft chubby starfish hands reaching for our hearts

Big eyed angels in soft cotton gowns

Gone home...

that empty crib

a haunting reminder

of such a huge loss..

We hang on to each precious toy

hug the soft binky to our weeping eyes

hungering, longing

to hold that tiny body close

just one more time

There comes a time

when love must say

its ok

move on my angel

In heaven

Each day..

Jesus comes to the nursery

to love His own....

He gathers them in His loving heart

Keeping them safe

Beyond all harm

against the day

of your return

Trust in Him

to care for your angel..

letting go of grief and pain

and with all the love

of your mothers heart...

Whisper to your babe

Fly free my child

beyond this pain

knowing my love

loosed the chains that held you here

Chains of grief and pain

shattered by unselfish trusting hearts

holding love forever

in a mothers yearning soul

Oh dear, pass the Kleenex. This one ripped my heart out. Beautiful, touching, poignantly true. God bless, Candy. You have a wonderful gift.

Candida, very true. There is a time to be born a time to live and a time to die just as their is a time to grow a time to replenish and a time to heal.
