I am back home, as of today, 28th. thank you to all who sent me their good wishes and prayers. My surgeon and Physio both are really impressed with the speed with which I recovered and was up and about. The surgeon told me most people with just one knee done usually take five or more days to get going and I beat them with two done!
The picture I am putting up is my feeble attempt at a cartoon, I am no artist!

Aesop Visits Chestnut Ward

I saw a little gerbil
skitter through the door,
he’d crawled up the lift shaft
to the Hospital’s first floor,
found his way to Chestnut Ward
to look for the second Bay.
Sneaked past reception
and kept out of Sister’s way.
Aesop found me in the middle bed
and went hid around the back,
when no one was watching
he crawled up along the rack.
Hanging from the ‘monkey pull’
nose to nose with me,
he introduced himself at once,
"Hi, my name is Aesop" said he.
"I hopped aboard a Freighter
just to come and visit you,
I’m from Louisiana, in Southern USA
and crossing the Atlantic,
for me was something new.
We had a stormy passage
and I thought my end was near,
I was so very seasick
I really felt quite queer.
You look a little peeky
surrounded by all those drips,
tubes and needles everywhere
and machines emitting blips!
But you have no need to worry
now that Aesop’s here,
cos’ Pam and Ed and Jerry
have made it crystal clear
that I must keep my eye on you
and help you with the physio,
then when you’re back up on your feet
we all can dance a Jiggio!"

BRAVO! Aesop DID visit you like he said he know I'm never quite sure he does what he says he's going to do - kind of has a mind of his own....Anyway Jackie this is absolutely ADORABLE and the drawing is quite good! Looks JUST LIKE Aesop hanging there making faces at you. I hope he cheered you up. We are ALL very happy you are home and recovering so quickly. Love, Pam

Hip-Hip-Hooray! Welcome back, Jackie! We have truly missed you.
This is a lovely poem, and I think, a great little cartoon. (I can't even draw a stick man.)
Wishing you a speedy recovery, and a joyous reunion with your kitty cats.
