The sun will shine, velvet nights fall, the moon shall rise,
still you'll never count the tears loosed from my eyes
or those lodged inside in folds of time ...uncried.
Sorrows can't be measured till red blood turns blue
and grief cascades, rages, from colorless eyes.

Life goes on and that means more than we surmise;
living, dying, happens right before our eyes.
When it rains, it pours but is it pouring rain?
Isn't there something from angels tears to gain?
Will it put the blue back in translucent eyes?

The sun will shine, velvet nights fall, the moon shall rise.
Is that genuine love peering from your eyes?
Let me sob ... completely enveloped by you.
I will surge, flow, through your veins breathing life ... we two ...
seeing another world through sable, brown eyes.

Life goes on. You guide me with sorrowful gaze
knowing I want to return to those 'yesterday' days,
turn back the future, to clasp my loved one again.
I still hear laughter ring--in my mind I can.
It's hard to go on when ev'rything's a haze.

The sun will shine, velvet nights fall, the moon shall rise,
but, in your heart, hold me. Tears yet blind my eyes.
