Print Save Become a Fan
Kind of a combination of Humor and Nature, but had to go with humor for the category...I hope you enjoy it!
I have always thought that when I die I would like to come back as a dog…what an idyllic life,
But after seeing how some are mistreated, well…
Now I am thinking of coming back as a tree, especially the kind that changes color in the fall,
So pleasing to the eye of humans & still near to the heart of dogs, or closer to their hind legs…
To be a member of the family of trees living 100’s of years,
making shade for families, a place for a swing or growing fruit, all this and more are great reasons to come back as
And on the upside, I won’t have any fleas!

|Beautiful picture! I did a painting of a man meshed into a tree. But, the man is me. Or is it you? :/|

Hah, hah, hah!
But of course, we humans mistreat trees, no excuse me, ABUSE them just as badly!
Look at what we've done to their mother, Gaia!
What a mess (are we, not Earth!)
Sad, ain't it?
P.S. I agree with Taylor Trenton. That last verse invests an otherwise tragic poem with a feathery touch of wry humour!

|Yeah, and you would have to stand in one spot with doggy urine
all over you. LOL! This poem was great.
