Of course, spawned while eating an orange. At least in one's daydreams it can be Summer!

Orange Daydreams

Peel back the skin
Slightly tough, textured
to the touch. The aroma,
sweet and tangy

Inhale deeply
and enjoy.

Ripened to perfection,
each piece pulls apart
with such ease.

Behold!

A succulent morsel ready
to be consumed, devoured!
The sweet piquant flavour
already gracing the tongue
in anticipation.

Come, share this tasty treat

A smile
Then, a bite
Juices spurt, running down
the chin in tiny rivulets.

Giggling ensues

Then, another set of lips
kisses away the sweet
treat. Nuzzles bring more
laughter

Tender moments
Eskimo kisses
Excitement makes the heart
race and trembling hands embrace.

The connection
kindled.

In an instant, overwhelming bliss
within an orange kiss, while
staring into the deep blue abyss
that is thee

Lost in a daydream while eating
an orange. Longing for the moment
when within thy arms I can be.

But, alas, only orange daydreams
Tomorrow, may we be peaches & cream
