Foresight Is Hindsight or A Bowl of Fantasy

All the town stood up in arms,
To quench the thirst of five alarms.
This blazing treat was given me,
Handed down, by legacy.

Louisianna, extra hot,
A cajun mixture, hits the spot.
I've never lost that recipe,
That blew-up daddy's factory.

Never stand behind the man,
Who holds pop's chili in his hand.
Not unless the wind is right,
Doing so may end your night.

Once I sat beneath a tree,
To eat a bowl of fantasy.
Spicy hot, this pepper sauce,
It shot right out my a**, of course.

Here's a secret you may know.
Eat lots of bread to quench the flow.
A trick to any flaming stew,
Is keep a definite end in view.

I had a good chuckle when I read this. :) I must say I respect your ability to rhyme so fluidly! I have always struggled with that aspect of poetry.

Paul, I hope you don't mind but I printed this out to give my sons. When they were young they used to have contests to see who could eat the "hottest" anything. this brought back some fond memories.
