The power within you will free you to love -
without condition.

This I have been told:
If I want to be free
to truly become
I will no longer drain energy
from without
Not from God
Not from family
Not from friends
Not from teachers
Not from preachers
Not from anyone
I will not rely
I will not depend
I will not take
I will give
The more I give
the more I disconnect
from the trinity of powers
and their matrix of enslavement
in this world
The power is
This I have been told

You are discovering your power, and I'm sure
when you look back on this one it can be seen... :)

Oh yes baby! Now this is my kind of poem!! Couldn't agree with you more. I'm always talking about the matrix. You'll see it in many of my works.

Good write, says lots of what you are thinking and how we are to act accordingly.

In all reality we NEED each other. Even those who feel the "need" to say be independent. It just isn't so.
We do need contact, touch, communication, help, hugs, voices, love & laughter & even strength from each other.
Now you know this happens wheather we want to or not. The person at the stop light, the man walking down the street, that person you smiled at that you didn't really see......yep it is out of our hands!

I agree Regis in the belief in the power of one. Wanting to love ...
then love. No outside force will make it more real. Just what we are capable of feeling in our hearts. Excellent. Bill

There is alot of strength within all of us. And until we learn to stand alone it's almost impossible to stand beside another. We have to know who we are and where we want to go in life. Apparently you want to be free to love unconditionally,,and you are willing to depend on the power you have instilled within you to make that happen. Wonderful write Regis,,there are many ways one could read this,,hopefully I've read what you are trying to portray. Enjoyed. Lisa

The power is within, but given to us. I agree with Eileen one is a lonely number. And 'I' is mortal. The power within is 'Faith'. This is an excellent write. It explores the eternal question of power over our existance. Well written.
