|A fantastic poem Jeff!! A tribute that would lift up any heart.
Visions infuse rooms once empty
Filling these hallowed halls with sight.
Images like creatures scurry
Transforming shadow into light. <---Love that!!!
Your rhyme and meter is fantastic........your depth divine.....I'd say top shelf..Very impressed.

|Vivid images jumped at me with every line. This a very beautiful poem. I am a photographer, and in my fiction writing I find myself using light and dark metaphors quite often. I could see the working of them mind in this work. Very well done, and a lovely tribute to your cousin and his family. Glad you came into my site. Now I've found yours.

|Jeff, Fantastic piece - well-crafted and incisive emotional content -and fitting tribute. "Tearful arias" and your close resonated for me, and the interplay with image / concept of caving was exquisite. You are quite accomplished in your expression. |A sad and loving tribute, courageously naked in its emotional vulnerability! This is fine, fine work and more, it is a write that is shares some uncomfortable universal truths without being strident or raw...!
"Tearful arias created
As doleful breeze sings off each rock.
Whistling verses resound from walls;
Rhythm of earth the only clock."
Melancholy and true! Very moving.

Thanks for directing me to this one. Sorry that your cousin died so young. This is wonderful tribute to him. It actually made me feel like I was there in the caverns, as I was reading it.

|This is a powerpack, Jeff! You bring out the song of nature very well and the "thought sound" stands out very loud. I've been inside a cave only once that I recall, but I felt all of this.... excellent... your cuz is proud... stay strong

This tribute is awesome . He was so
young to have to leave you. I know how
you feel, for I lost a brother in law
to cancer on Halloween Day. God be with
you and your family, sweet friend.

|Thank you for reviewing my ( silly poem ) and I invite you to review my site in general.
Your poem is of a heart grieving, yet reflecting the wonder of the person of whom you are writing about, ( namely Your Cousin ) I am sorry to hear of his untimely death too. My condolences! Truly a wonderful and heartfelt write, which i enjoyed reading though its creation is borne out of a sorrow.
I can empathize with you, as you will discover when you read my site
Blessings to you and family

I would say that this is (excuse me) damned good for it to be a work in progress. This is beautiful and so sad but in a sense healing and calm. My prayers go out to you and your loved ones. The emotion in this and the images are something else.
Thank you for pouring out your heart... love your poetry, just have not had time to read much like I'd like, please forgive...
If this is just a work in progress...you are gonna fully blow up the den again when you post the final piece.
Prayers & Love to you and your family,
