A poem inspired by America's response to the bombing of the World Trade Center

In this time of great uncertainty
in America, Land of Liberty,
as thousands fly Old Glory
we show our nation's strength.

As rally we to the greatest cause
yet remember those, in silent pause,
who perished on that infamous day
we show this nation's strength.

And our men and women have gone away
to fight the fight both night and day,
they fight for us, to keep us free,
America, Land of Liberty.

We fly the flag from pole and car,
those thirteen stripes and fifty stars,
and pray we for our troops afar
who show our nation's strength.

America, Land of Liberty,
Long the home of the brave and free,
In my heart you'll always be
as we show this nation's strength.
