Blowin' in the Wind

Definitely not poetry, more of a request of you folks in Canada! Be nice to us and keep the cold and we will send you the warmth in the summer...:)

“Blowin’ in the Wind”

Oh my god, that gust had to be at least 90 mph!

In New Jersey this night, we are blowin’ away,

Can hardly walk against the wind, let alone breath,

Was in a breezeway today and for the first time I knew

                             what it was!

The wind that blows down on us from the Northwest,

Brings with it cold Canadian temps, feels like straight

                             from the artic,

Hey, Canada, I know its like winter and all, but keep

   the cold up your way,

Last week it was in the 80’s here and had the a/c on for a

                                bit!

Now I got to put up with this shit!

My body is not ready for this cold, knew it was coming,

                             but…

Not this fast should it change, what happened to fall,

What happened to Indian summer, was that all of it,

                             last week?

So, all you Canadian writers get off your collective

butts and go outside with your fans and blow this stuff back up north,

Better yet, blow it past us and out into the Atlantic,

And I would be eternally grateful…

Geez just trying to be friendly. Everyone was writing such great winter poems and it just seemed to be the thing to do. I do have my fan on......the heater fan. Now imagine this wind with a warm breeze and thats what Alberta gets in the middle of winter through the Rocky mountains. Instant spring. fun write!
