Time Will Tell

Were human hearts intended such to bear
The weight of love that mine has held for you?
When first discovered you were even there
I would have nothing else that I could do.

It was that moment- learning who I was,
That changed the life I knew forever more.
All bridges burned behind me now because
I found who I was destined to adore.

The grace of Heaven shed on me this kiss,
With love that even heals our wounded pride.
To share a world with you gives me such bliss,
A weight I carry everywhere inside.

So many talk of what is meant to be,
So many dreams are shattered, curtains fall.
But this connection given you and me
Can lead us both to rise above it all.

Angelic choirs sing to me your name.
Iíve never heard it any other way.
We dreamed of love and suddenly it came,
And time has proven it is here to stay.

I only wish this precious gift of mine,
This love inside my heart was yours as well.
You love me, but if only you could shine
Reflecting what you give me, time will tell.

John,

I especially like this:
"So many talk of what is meant to be,
So many dreams are shattered, curtains fall.
But this connection given you and me
Can lead us both to rise above it all."

Great write, as always!
