it's been a rough time in this den the
last little while, writer's block, you know. maybe this'll break the log jam
if it don't i'll be back howling at the moon and chasing cars...
The other night I was howling at the moon.
Why was I howling at the moon? Envy,
I guess. The moon, you see, sees everything,
I, on the other hand, see so little. But anyway:
I was howling at the moon the other night,
When the Man came up and asked,
“Why are you howling at the moon?”
I howled again, just to make him wait;
"Well, you see” I said, “I’m howling
howling at the moon because it is there.”
That made him scratch his head: amazing
what a thought will do to some people.
“Besides, sometimes the moon howls back.”
I left him scratching, and howling at the moon

|Reminds me of Bill Watterson's "CALVIN AND HOBBES" strip:
Calvin, pushing a large chunk of wood, asks Hobbes, "Want to buy my latest invention?"
"What is it?" asks Hobbes, scratching his ear.
"It's a writer's block! You put it on top of your desk and then you can't write there any more!"
Hobbes exits, an "Oh...of course!" look in his eyes.
Calvin, sitting alone on the wood and looking around at nothing, says. "I must be years ahead of my time."

|Rufuz and I have gone out and howled at the moon together, in fact he has taught me all the good howls, did you know there are more than just one? I thoroughly enjoyed this John, seems your blockage is now only in your veins and arteries, but howling at the moon may bring enlightenment as well...Peace, Ed & Rufuz (hooooowwwwwlllll)|

|John, really I didn't see this until after I had posted "I Can't Think of Anything to Say." Funny how we can be thinking of similar things on the same day. Good humor. I hope the howling helped.|
