Some gentle philosophy
Forever moments enclosed in finite time
Interrupted by endless beginnings
What is life, anyway, but a series of dreams?
Constantly seeking peaceful sleepís dark embrace
Allowing hard pain to fade into memory
Echoes of reality calling
Quietly across chill night streams.
Permanence is an illusion created to cage nightmares
Seemingly solid foundations daring Godís roll of the dice
Just towering mists to be tattered by day-to-day chaos
Ever eroding in swirled winds mere existence brings.
Searching, restless mind wanders along flowing trace
Following no discernable pattern or path
Not knowing if next quick turn will find
Soft comfort or cause muffled screams.
Itís not a matter of careless or graceful climb
Whether falls happen, are broken, or never made
Itís only life, after all, just dreams within dreams..

|this is somehow reminiscent of Poe (perhaps it's the dreams theme). It, further, has the flavor of Poe's poetic emotion. I like this very much. Absolutely outstanding writing, AND philosophy.|
