It was a real joy to meet Mel this morning. I've known her for over 3 years now. She is as sweet, kind, beautiful, as I expected. Love you Mel!

I had a great morning

A sweet lady traveled many miles down by my way
to have Thanksgiving with her parents

I called her from a Super Center Wal-Mart
in Benton, Arkansas

Her Mom answered, and I ask for Mel

She said, "you must have the wrong number"

I said, "hold on here, does your daughter stay on the internet a lot?"

Her Mom replied, "wait just a minute Iíll go get her"

Melís Dad had to give me directions to the house twice

The first time I called I didnít have a pen

So I walked (seemed like a mile) to my van and got a pen, and called again

Got to the house, rang the door bell, and Mel herself opened the door

We hugged, and both seemed to know each other in a flash

I gave Mel the original sketch I did of her, and an original sketch of Charles Mann

Mel made me feel so welcomed and comfortable that my butterflies soon left me

We visited almost two and half-hours

Mel told me of her Fibromyalgia, now I better understand it

I showed her pictures of my boy and girl living at home

I met her daughter Iris, also met her Mom and Dad

We also talked about you, Eileen, Trish, Peggy, Judeace, Jeanette, Karla, Karen, and many others

None of the talk was bad, so donít worry

I was honored to meet the Dens Dreamweaver in person,

but I felt it was time to go, because she needed to visit with her family, and not the old sketchman,

so we hugged, I told her I loved her, and she said the same, and then I turned around and left

Driving home I thought to myself, that Mel is as beautiful inside and out as her writing is. Believe me, itís true .
