i've got children
& i'll teel you
i am glad that i do

there ain't no end
to the pleasure
nor the pain
havin' children
can drive you insane

#1 thru #3
#4 thru #6
what a mix

they're all growin'
learnin' ta' knowin
the facts of life
livin' with life's strifes

#1 was the first
#2 the second
#3 was the third

from my first wife i heard
"you ain't here"
"you ain't there"
"i'll never let you be"

here i am
god damn
same old fool
sittin' on a stool
their old man
takin' stand as i please
hey, woman be at ease, please

they love me
when they can
i'm their ol man

from my second wife
i gave my life
#4 i adore
but she's learnin'
she's earnin'
her life

#5 is alive
seekin' to strive
to find who she be
that's her part of me

# 6 is a son
hell, he's a son of a gun
oh well,
he's in jail
no bail
oh well
man that's a story to tell
another time
another rhyme
but my son he be
hope you can see

got grand kids too
1 or 2 or 6
what a mix

some questions
some answers
some suggestions
some dancers
some prancers
'cause that's what i do's
i dance
i prance
i be a FOOL

ain't it funny
ain't no money
to be found
in the sound
of my phraeses
those lost hazy dazes

what can i say
all my kids be a part of me
can you see?
sometimes they leave me
sometimes they know
sometimew they find me
sometimes they let go

ain't it funny
how life be

they be like their dad
how sad
they be like their mother
oh brother
they be like each other
and me

always alone
always together
always a sister
& brother

but as for me

i guess i just be

their dad
or daddy
or father
cain't go much further

(actually thi poem goes on & on...but they are not the words in can say)

i've got kids
i love them all

& that ain't small.

what a way to put the feelings of a father into words,
you swirling, twirling thought process is hypnotizing

i would like to sit and listen to it to a drum beat

No, it isn't. You've got a lot to be proud of.
