My Mom...

Mom doesn't visit me too much, but I love her anyway...

        My Mom…

My mom I love so much,

I rarely see her & such,

But when she is here,

She always brings me treats,

Not that she has to,

I love to see mom whenever.

We play, she chases me, I her,

She calls me her little monkey, (what’s that mean?)

She calls me by all sorts of pet names,

And well she should, as I am her pet too.

So far this little rhyme has yet to actually rhyme,

But sometimes rhyming can be so boring,

So, as dad says, I can use a little poetic license,

Oh, and this time I do have a license,

Even if “has” been revoked.

Hey, mom, Christmas is fast approaching,

I want this and that,

But most important,

Both Dad & I want a visit from you,

So take this cue,

And bring yourself over here,

As we both, extremely miss you know who…
