An elevator stands upright today
It took us to her home of love up high
She greeted us with arms so open wide
Like flowers scented from a nice bouquet

The smell of her perfume stays in our hearts
While reminiscing of the cards we played
True joy of when we saw her is unswayed
Our feelings stayed though years we’ve been apart

Grandmas had aromas in their place
A treasure for our lives is what we found
If listened closely there’s a wondrous sound
We hear her voice within a memory trace

The songs of Christmas have a certain grace
When Grandmas sing from heaven the world round
