Mirage

So sad, for you there is no in-between,
You will be hurt, or else you will be mean.
I love you, and youíve treated me so bad,
You loved him, and he left you feeling sad.

You always said that love is where you find it-
But all my love? You only didnít mind it,
But never would you have it to give back,
For love like this is something that you lack.

And such a fool I know that I have been,
Believing in this love that I was in-
And all the perfect words you used to say,
But nothing ever takes the truth away.

Itís strange that neither one of us has changed
But now my thoughts at last are rearranged,
And all I saw was just an empty shell,
A fine mirage- a trick for which I fell.

So now I wonder which it next will be-
A wounded you, or someone else like me
Who takes upon himself such love and care
To bring to one who isnít even there.

So sad , John...my heart goes out to you.
I hope someday your heart will heal and
you will "feel" again. Life is too short
to live in regrets.

Huggs..xoxo
