Written in remembrance o' my Gran..

If all the seas were sucked from
mother earths breasts,
then perhaps no man would differ
from another.
My sorrows would sadden a black man
in his leafy jungle
and the spider which upon his shoulder crawls
would sting my heart....

If the sun were never again to shine
upon a Touareg in the vast Sahara,
then perhaps a Inuit tear would fall
silent cold, down an icy cheek
and somewhere in the shadow of the
high mountain sierras,
a Zuni elder would pray for spirits
not yet at rest...

If I could attain the wisdom of the wise..
would I impart my love to those who lack compassion for others ?

My gran would take me to task
if I would not fingertip the nose
of a aboriginal warrior
who goes walkabout,
in naked innocence ..

If the day should ever come when we can
smile and tease each other for the foolishness
of our fallibility's
and pray together to our separate Gods...
then might our grandchildren wonder
there ever was a tyme
when Gran and Granda
never laughed together..

On the east side of the Blackwater river, near the village of Zuni.. Which is in VA hehe, Now about Tim Tams. They are a yummy choccy biscuit/cookie, that we have here in OZ, and if you eat all of the pkt, suddenly it fills up again, quite marvellous really. I think the aborigines gave us the recipe;) you must tell Tam that.

I believe Virginia is a lovely place, have a mate their, acutally, she is closer to the blue ridge mountains!

Nice one Gray.

Ps Just imagine ole paw and maw outside on the verandah smoking a corn cob pipe knocking back a flagon of moonshine, in their rockin chairs, lovely.
