My Grandmother

I found her-
In the smell within my room
And the place within my heart
Reaching out to touch
Memories of yesterday

I see her-
Within the comfort of my eyes
She is still the same
White hair, soft smile…
Old---though young in her ways

I love her-
Passion felt from deep inside
Walking beside me today
If only in my dreams
Let me pretend

I want her-
Only love to be shared
By kin of the same
Deep dark pasts
Become lights new again

She walks the earth in spirit…

Hi Antoinette:

This is so special and treasurable of a poem. Your feelings for your grandmother is well-expressed.

I used to live with my two sets of grandparents in my young days, so I know just exactly how you feel.

I miss my grandparents too.

This is so lovely, I can still recall the scent of rose sachet when I think of my precious Grandmother.
