inside the golden masque,
Midas touch embalmed
holy of holies,
slow poison, sacrifice
seals sky & hay,
a thousand faces,
a corn doll, peasants
trample on. inside
the golden masque,
fear, grief, poison in relief.

|Impressive write, almost "flashy" considering your other works, this one contains a metaphorical terseness quite unlike some of your other more elegaic and alliterative writes!|

|Outstandingly awesome; but you are used to it. Thank you for this offering. Love and peace, Regis.|

|"Golden Masque" knowledge and wisdom defining ambition and indifference, leaving the inner arcane to be found through heedful thoughts.
Very esoteric is the first feeling of "Golden Masque", but the answer comes clear as one re-reads through its lines.
May You, Poet Robin Ouzman Hislop enjoy a Memorable Season.
