Another work/write by Rufuz, he has not felt the urge of late till tonight...
Thankfully, as he screws up my keyboard with his big dirty paws!...ed

A friend I have,

Amongst the few,

My dad likes her,

And that makes her a “who”.

Folks that are a “who,”

Are very special indeed,

As they make it to my friendship list,

And for me, that makes them less missed.

Her name is Lisa,

She is the one,

That makes my dads’ day at work, more fun,

I have to thank her for being there,

To keep my dad happy,

As I am happy when he is too.

She is a lady, dad says,

I can only tell from her smell,

Ladies have that “special odor”,

That makes them more attractive to me,

I can tell cause I have this big nose,

At least it seems big,

As Dad & mom don’t have it this large.

Maybe I am not mom & dads dog,

Because of the differences in my nose and theirs,

But even if I am only adopted,

I love them both just the same.

Anyway, I got off the subject at paw,

Lisa is my aunt as well as my friend,

She always says hi and lets me rub against her paw,

But then again, everyone dad knows, lets me do that

     to their paws!

People must just love to have doggy smell on their paws!

I just love people, they are so funny,

They make weird noises,

And think I know what they say,

Damned if I do, but I still treat them the right way!

All humans should treat each that way,

Maybe there would be less bad news on the TV at night,

Who knows, I could start a trend,

And maybe in the end,

I will be remembered for my  “dogatarianism!”

I don’t understand this holiday thing,

But if I did, I might say,

To all I meet and smile and be friendly,

All night and all day, the whole year through…
