Memories for Sale

Memories for sale on Saturday morn
Cloth and linen ragged and torn
Treasures of the past letting go
Difficult putting on this show
Hiding from buyers an aged French horn

Knowing not when these things were born
I moved them around to and fro
No space available for things so worn
Memories for sale on Saturday morn

Once expensive wood waterborne
The wreath made once for me of crow corn
Wanting to save them again though
These items have never been used and so
When treasures are found feel my intense scorn
Memories for sale this Saturday mourn
