To all the soldiers who will be spending Christmas in the big sandbox far, far, away, thank you for your sacrifice and all that you do in the name of freedom

Sleigh Bells In The Sand

Itís not a Merry Christmas

For those who keep us free

No blinking lights, no candy canes

No showy Christmas tree

No Jolly Man in bright red suit

No reindeer in the air

No curly-ribboned packages

No stockings hung with care

Canít see their childrenís faces

Beaming bright on Christmas morn

Though proud to do the job they do

On this day, theyíre feeling torn

Itís hard to be so far away

On a day thatís marked for cheer

When families gather, feast and pray

And hold each other near

For them the shells are blasting

As we sing of silent night

Near a little town of Bethlehem

Most things donít seem quite right

T'was a miracle that happened there

On this day so long ago

To us was given precious son

In the hope manís love would grow

Now in that desert far away

For freedom, soldiers fight

There are no wise men bearing gifts

No holy star in sight

They wonít be home for Christmas

Thereís a rifle in their hand

Another day in freedomís war

And no sleigh bells in the sand

Yes a very good poem, the rhyme was great, the meaning greater. Of course those hate America down with the president folks might have something else to say. How you going to have a hate the president party like they did in jokerwood, I mean hollywood. cheers G
